Knitwear No. 04 – Black & Bloom
A bold one-of-a-kind handmade patchwork sweater in charcoal black, soft cream and unexpected touches of colour.
The sweater combines a dark textured knitted base with a striking arrangement of handmade crochet squares, creating a graphic floral pattern across the body. Cream crochet borders frame the individual squares, while different flower motifs give each section its own character.
The design continues onto the back with another carefully arranged composition of floral squares. Colourful handmade flower details appear at the back of the sleeves, adding a playful surprise to the otherwise monochromatic palette. A small red accent at one cuff brings an unexpected pop of colour to the piece.
With its cropped shape, wide sleeves and strong black-and-cream contrast, this sweater has a distinctly contemporary feel while retaining the warmth and individuality of traditional crochet patchwork.
